Award-winning author Steve Bramucci shares how real life experiences influenced all three of his novels, particularly his recent book, Race for the Ruby Turtle. But rather than putting life experiences into the book verbatim, he shares with young authors how to remix their lived experiences and turn them into something thrilling and cohesive.

The Story Behind The Story of Nubby
The author will begin with an introduction of himself and his family followed by a reading of NUBBY. He will then tell the backstory about where the idea came from, why the story has personal meaning, and what he hopes readers take away from the story. The author will spend the last few minutes answering questions from the audience.
