Cynthia Graham Hurd /St. Andrew's Library Black History Month Essay Contest: This contest is open to all Charleston County School District students in grades 6 - 12. One winner will be selected at the middle school and high school levels and the winners will be presented with a trophy and a $50 Amazon gift card. Find additional information here.
Bonds Wilson High School Association Scholarship: The Bonds-Wilson High School Alumni Association is offering the “Ruben Smith Scholarship” in the amount of $500.00 for the fall college school term. The deadline is April 30th. (No late applications will be accepted). The winner(s) of the scholarship will be selected and notified on or before June 15th. Find the application here.
Wofford Scholars (See Ms. McCall if interested): Since 1949, outstanding high school students have been competing at Wofford for scholarships based on leadership, academic achievement and character. Each year the college receives nominations for the Wofford Scholars Program from guidance counselors across the United States. From these nominees, students are selected and invited to compete for a variety of scholarships. Wofford's faculty/staff, students and alumni eagerly anticipate meeting the best and brightest young people in the country on Scholars Day.
