September 9 - Lowcountry Service Day

September 22 - Remember Project Cohort Information & Application (Apply now for the 23-24 Remember Project, a year-long leadership program by Charleston Jewish Federation. Learn about the Holocaust, combat hate, connect with survivors & get 20 hrs. community service. Open to Charleston area high schoolers. Teacher recommendation required. )

September 22 - United States Senate Youth Program: The Hearst Foundation’s 62nd Annual United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) Washington Week event will take place March 2-9, 2024, with current plans for a timely national selection process and an in-person program in Washington, D.C. Two students from each state will be selected to attend and each student will receive a $10,000 college scholarship. Students must be currently serving in an elected or appointed position representing their school or constituency for the entire 2023-24 school year, must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents at the time of application to the U.S. Senate Youth Program, and must be able to attend the entire 2024 in person or online Washington Week event set for March 2-9, 2024. October 9 - Liberty Hill Association. The Liberty Hill Society is looking for volunteers to help with document scanning and organization.  Please contact Hester McFadden at (843) 532-9208 or jg744@bellsouth.net 

October 17 - Language Lift. Language Lift is looking for tutors who can help teach basic English to non-English speakers through virtual lessons.  Tutors will receive community service hours for their help.  If you can speak Mandarin, your help would be very much appreciated.  Please email bilhel7844@ccsdschools.com or wanmia9004@ccsdschools.com if you are interested. 

November 15 - Isle of Palms. The Isle of Palms Environmental Advisory Committee is looking for people in search of community service hours in order to help with trash cleanup in the city. Every other week, the Council will host a cleanup in exchange for 3 hours of community service.  Anyone living in Isle of Palms or Mount Pleasant is encouraged to come out and help the city.  Please email Jordan Burrell if you are interested. December 12 - The Stone Soup Collective. The Stone Soup Collective is a local non-profit organization.  Currently, they need cooks, sous chefs, and other volunteers to wash, chop, simmer, and stir soups.  These soups are plant-based, nutritious soups that are shared with fellow neighbors and local citizens in need.  The Collective often collaborates with the College of Charleston, and they meet every Friday from 10:30am to 3:30pm at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church—403 King St.  Please contact 843-410-0106 if you are interested in volunteering.

December 14 - Buist Youth Basketball. Please consider volunteering to collect money at the Buist basketball home games!  The job is straightforward. They are set for the remainder of December for volunteers but will need to fill January, so sign up for 2024.   Link is here.
