This summer at NBC Palm Springs gave me the opportunity to grow as a journalist while working under supportive coaching that encouraged creativity and independence. I had the chance to pitch and shape my own stories, learning how to balance a reporter’s voice with clear storytelling. Beyond field reporting, I gained valuable experience producing, collaborating in the newsroom, and even stepping into weather segments to build versatility. The combination of creative freedom and hands-on guidance allowed me to sharpen my skills across multiple areas of broadcast journalism.
