The Edge of Seventeen is a Coming of Age Drama starring Hailee Steinfeld (Nadine), Woody Harrelson, (Max Bruner), Haley Lu Richardson (Krista), Hayden Szeto (Erwin), Blake Jenner (Darian), and Kyra Sedgwick (Mona Franklin).

Nadine’s dad dies and we see a bit of her younger life through dealing with that with her best friend.  And we see how Nadine and her best friend Krista meet as kids.  The rest of the movie though they are grown up (growing up) and are seventeen year old juniors.  We follow Nadine through her life.  Her hardships and the following out she rightfully had with her best friend and her dislike or hatred even for her brother.
