The Magic Castle 2024

I went to the Magic Castle with one of my best friends, Kennedy for the second time!  Her dad is a performer and showcases at the Magic Castle many times however this time he wasn't performing.  The Magic Castle is the most elite magic club in the world.  The only way to enter is to be invited by someone that is a member; and you can only be a member by going through a lot of interviews and auditions to be a performer at the club and have someone that is already a member, sponsor you.  There is also an extremely strict dress code: black tie.  Also, phones are not allowed inside the castle, so the only picture I have from the night is the one above.

Kennedy and I watched a total of 3 shows, which consisted of two close up magic performances and the main attraction.  This night was a special night not only because kids were allowed (the castle is 21+), but they flew in 4 special performers from Japan to showcase the night.  The host was the only one that knew English and two of the magicians did more of a dance performance to show their skills while the other did more of an acting showcase.  They all had beautiful, elegant clothing and decorations.

A lot of magicians use a lot of comedy in their shows.  The close up magicians performances use the most amount of comedy because laughing in a small space with other people makes for more intimate environment.  It makes everyone in the room feel more special.

Long story short, the Magic Castle is always a fun place to make new memories and a great place experience.  If someone ever asks you to accompany them to the Magic Castle, definitely agree to go with them. 🐾
