School food: one of the most controversial types of food. At CHAMPS, the food is a unique experience, one that you probably didn’t get in middle school. CHAMPS’ improved terrace reopened again after two years, and not only are there new trays and cold water available, but new food choices as well! CHAMPS lunch is quite diverse. Hopefully, you’re a bit overwhelmed by all of the choices, because we will be noting the best food of the week.

Starting the year with nostalgia for last year? You can’t go back to last year, but you can eat a caesar chicken tortilla wrap. It's a cool lunch for these scorching days. The wrap was very tasty and especially very crunchy. The lettuce was refreshing and very cooling. It was quite messy and was falling apart in my hands, but in the end, it was worth the struggle and mess. Not bad for a crunchy meal, which also came along with some crunchy, chunky carrots. Very yummy for your tummies.

Two good school food days in a row seems rare, but not at CHAMPS! It kind of makes you look forward to coming to school. The teriyaki chicken chow mein bowl was one of a kind. The noodles were chewy and drenched in the teriyaki sauce. The chicken countered the chewy noodles with its rough yet tender texture. Carrots and broccoli were the stars of the show; they were soft and gave the bowl a great flavor. Another great day of proving school food critics wrong at CHAMPS.
This was brought to you by the tastebuds of your fellow classmates, Leslie and Meri. Don't doubt school food ever again. Can’t wait until next time! 🐾
