This match was held in the Estadio Azteca.
The game kicked off with Club America starting and quickly losing the ball. 2 minutes and 14 seconds in, the ball was passed to Agustín Oliveros and crossed into the box, making it to their number 9 Facundo Batista. It’s headed into the goal to kick off the scoring.
In minute 4:28, the ball was sent from America’s half to Necaxa’s box, making it to Julián Quiñones. He cuts back and passes the ball to Diego Valdés. Valdés shoots and the opposing goalkeeper saves it. Corner kick to America, Álvaro Fidalgo takes the corner. Diego Valdés gets a head to it to no avail.
At 20:55 Alejandro Zendejas takes a shot from the corner of Necaxa’s box that hits the crossbar and almost goes in.
In the 23rd minute a ball was cleared and sent all the way down the field to Alejandro Zendejas. He barely gets to it and crosses it to Diego Valdés and he scores to tie up the game.
7 minutes later, Alejandro Zendejas made a run on Necaxa’s half. He passes it to Brian Rodríguez who takes it into the box and shoots. He scores to make it 2-1; Club America are up with 15 minutes left in the half.
In the 26th minute Julián Quiñones gets the ball and shoots the ball from outside the box but the GK gets to it.
That's it for the first half of this game. Second half starts when Necaxa kicks off. Brayan Garnica got the ball and crossed it to Facundo Batista, who scored in the 55th minute to tie the game at 2-2.
At minute 59, Brian Rodríguez makes a run, nutmegging a defender and shooting the ball, but the goalkeeper gets a hand to the ball to reject the goal.
In the 60th minute, a corner was awarded to Club America. The goalkeeper jumps for the catch and misses. It lands in front of Diego Valdés. He taps the ball and sets up Julián Quiñones.
Quiñones hits it into the goal and scores the win for Club America. 🐾
