Club America vs Chivas: The Clash of Titans

The Clash of Titans kicked off at 6:00 in the Rose Bowl stadium.  Chivas started with the ball and there was only passing until roughly the 26 minute mark, when a beautiful ball was put into the box and was headed slightly off target by number 5: Victor Guzman. Exactly 2 minutes later, the ball was passed to Salvador Reyes. Reyes made a pass to Julian Quinones, who shot the ball into the net which left fans in awe. Then, at the 38th minute mark, number 11: Isaac Brizuela; dribbled past midfield and shot the ball. Just like that, the ball was saved and recovered by Oscar Jimenez (the goalkeeper).

Four minutes after that, during the 42nd minute mark Fernando Beltran crossed the ball to Victor Guzman. As he headed to the goal the ball was saved by Oscar Jimenez once again. 11 minutes later a long ball was put at the feet of Julian Quinones and moments later he scored! During the 65th minute, Salvador Reyes took a long shot, but the ball went over the bar. 

In the 70th minute Leo Suarez made a beautiful run down the flank and took a shot, however the keeper got a finger to the ball, and a corner was given to America. Jonathan (Cabecita) Rodriguez took the corner he crossed into and Patricio Salas tried a bicycle kick which was barely deflected by the goalkeeper. 8 minutes later Chivas had a chance and Jonathan Padilla took a shot but it was saved by Oscar Jimenez again. 

Minutes later, the whistle is blown at the 90th minute and the game is finished.

Club America defeated Chivas Club de Guadalajara for the second time in the 23/24 season. 🐾
