Message from the President - Business Head South
Greetings to all. We have finished one of the exciting years both on personal and professional fronts. We have gone through the tough times and have emerged stronger thanks to the contributions from each and every individual of Team Chaitanya. We have ended the year with a portfolio of 1390 Cr serving half a million customers across 7 states. In the 4th quarter, we started operations in Madhya Pradesh and started the base work for Tamil Nadu.
In the coming financial year, we have very ambitious plans and we will be entering two new states of Gujarat and Rajasthan apart from Tamil Nadu. In our quest to be one of the top MFIs in India, we will have to strive for excellence in operations by maintaining a high-quality portfolio and efficiency.
Looking forward to the great financial year 2021-22.

Head - HR
Gaurav became a part of Chaitanya as Head – Human Resources. He is a seasoned professional possessing 14+ years of overall experience in various industries. His recent experience was with DTDC Express Ltd as Head DGM HR (South & East). He holds a Master’s degree in HR from IIMM, Pune.
Rahul Kumar
Executive - IT
Rahul joined the IT team at Chaitanya as an Executive having previous work experience with AU Small Finance Bank. He holds a graduation degree in Computer Science Engineering from Radharaman Institute of Technology and Science, Bhopal.
Vishnu Chaitanya
Assistant Manager - HR
Vishnu recently joined the HR team at Chaitanya as an Assistant Manager - Projects. He gained 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Manager - HR with DTDC Express Ltd, post completing PGDM from BIMHRD.

Assistant Manager - Admin
Jai Prakash joined Chaitanya as an Assistant Manager – Admin. He possess prior work experience of 8+ years. His recent experience was with SBM Nauvata as Admin Assistant. He is also interested in playing football and cricket.

Manager - Accounts
Jagdish Kumar recently became a part of Accounts team. He holds 8+ years of overall expertise in accounts. Previously he worked with ANI Technologies (OLA Cabs). He completed B. Com from CB Degree College, Bhalki.
Yagneshwar Soma
Assistant Manager - HR
Yagneshwar joined Chaitanya holding 3+ years of experience with DTDC Express Ltd as a Senior Executive-HR. He also completed internship with Myntra post completing his post graduation with specialization in HR from IBMR – IBS.

Chaitanya expresses immense delight towards the skilled professionals of the team for investing their valuable 5 years of collaborative learning, evolving and exploring capabilities. My journey with Chaitanya commenced as being appointed as the first Regional Manager in the Jaglur region and currently, I’m leading the Audit Team. When I reminisce about the past 11 years, I perceive that It was the right decision to enter the organisation and start my NBFC journey. Based on my experience with the organisation I can definitely say that Chaitanya is one of the best places to work and develop one’s career provided you are sincere, involved and committed to work.
Before joining Chaitanya, I possesed 13 years of experience in the NGO sector with SHG based Micro Credit Programmes. During all these years I came across many new terms like Business Growth, Run Rate, Customer Retention, Staff Attrition, KRA, Risk, PAR, OCR and more, which I learnt and implemented in my career.
Collective efforts of the founders, Mr Anand Rao and Mr Samit Shetty and the initial group of enthusiastic people have elevated the organisation. The founders had lots of patience, commitment and belief to train the ground team and to build the culture of the company.
I have always believed to put all my efforts to accomplish the task I’ve been assigned and achieve maximum perfection in my work. I have received the fairly deserved appreciation and timely acknowledgement for my efforts. Being a part of the Business team as Regional Manager and Divisional Manager, made me understand the operational scenario of the organisation. During my 2.5 years tenure as the Collections Head, we overcame the de-monetarization period and learnt a lot from the situation. When I look around, I realize that people who were there with the company for a long time have also achieved remarkable growth.
Chaitanya’s focus has always been on uplifting the rural part of the country through its services, employment opportunities and CSR activities. If our services are creating a positive effect on the customer’s family then only our efforts are worth it. The parental assistance from Navi Technologies in the form of capital investment worked as a catalyst with the efforts of the team and is resulting in the overall expansion of the organisation. It feels great to witness a remarkable journey of the organisation and self.

Nagamma hails from Jaglur, Karnataka and is associated with Chaitanya for the past 10 years. Her husband used to earn bare minimum income which was for certain not sufficient for the family. She faced adverse situations in her life and desired to make it better. She always wanted to financially support her family and do something on her own. She decided to start stitching clothes professionally but the investment for a sewing machine was a barrier. While figuring out the solution to her problems she spotted Chaitanya’s poster near her house. She formed a group of 25 like-minded women and played the role of the group leader. Her first loan was of Rs. 10,000 which fulfilled her need for a sewing machine thus supported her husband to start a stable life. She took another loan of Rs. 25,000 and bought sheep to start animal husbandry too. Post earning a decent amount and gaining confidence in herself, she took a large amount of loan of Rs. 50,000 and invested in farming along with backing quality education for her children. While sharing her journey with one of our team members she said, “This kind of small financial help gradually transforms our life and makes us feel empowered.”

This quarter Chaitanya’s team got involved in various initiatives ranging from POSH awareness, My family My responsibility (COVID Awareness and Road Safety Awareness).
