Supplies: No art supplies needed for this one! You can find everything you need to make land art outside!
Here's what I made from what I found in my front yard:
This video shows a lot of great examples:
Head outside and gather some materials. Some of the things you can look for are:
Leave
Stones
Pine cones
Twigs and sticks
Flowers
Acorns
Grass
Then, create an original work of land art outside! It could be a flat arrangement like mine, or a 3D sculpture!
You should create the artwork outside, just like Andy Goldsworthy. Don't worry about bringing what you've collected inside to create your art.
Try working together with your family members to create something even bigger!
If you're using leaves or flowers, try to look for parts that have already fallen off of the tree or stem. We don't want to destroy nature, just recycle it in an interesting way!
OPTIONAL: Take it a step further!
Try creating a drawing of your land art!
Draw the landscape that surrounds your and your new work of art.
Try taking photos of your land art from different angles.
