This activity focuses on the artwork of Keith Haring. Watch the video below to learn a bit about out on my favorite artists! Then have fun learning to create your very own figures in motion!
Step 1: Watch this video of the book, "Keith Haring: The Boy Who Just Kept Drawing" by Keith's sister, Kay Haring!
Step 2: Let's draw some figures in motion just like Keith's! Watch my tutorial video and follow along!
Step 3: Make your figure all your own! Use your creativity! Think about some of the patterns and lines we have learned about this year and how they might be used to make your artwork really pop. If you have markers, colored pencils or crayons then add some color. If not, just create more patterns with your pen or pencil!
Feeling adventerous? Challenge yourself to:
Use more than one figure!
Create figures having a dance party!
Try creating a radiant baby or a dog in the style of Keith Haring.
