Indicate how they plan to implement their results in terms of time and estimated costs using a Plan for Results and Budget (PORB). Results include all Outputs and Outcomes listed in their Theory of Change, MELIA studies, Scaling and Innovation Readiness, and Management activities.
Develop detailed annual budgets, by WP and main expense category to determine how the financial expenditure will be monitored. Further expanding on their PORBs to provide estimates of the resources allocated to achieve the planned results.
Ensure that details on staff assignments or new hires required to execute the project remain relevant, anticipating significant staffing evolutions for the year ahead in their People Plans.
The primary objective of planning is setting up how the project will be managed, and all Initiative, Impact Platform and Science Group Project team members must clearly understand what needs to be accomplished, by when, by whom, and with what resources. Planning is an iterative process, and teams should design flexible plans that are meant to be adapted throughout the project implementation. The work that is accomplished during this stage shall be revisited and enhanced in the re-planning stage, following the recommendations for change from the reflect process.
Here, the teams shall implement their reflect recommendations, including:
Changes to annual budgets considering updated funding scenario, carryover amounts, updates on implementation timelines, and results through their Theories of Change and PORBs.
While enhancing other Initiative and Impact Platform plans necessary to ensure project success, such as People Plans to expand on the details of staff assignments or new hires required to execute the project, and Risks registers adding new risks - and identifying or resolving closed risks.
