How to save a new document to your computer:
1. Click FILE, then SAVE AS.
2. Name your saved files with easily recognized names. This will help you find
what you need when you're searching for a specific file on your computer later.
3. Click SAVE. ( Your fille will be saved to your computer for later use)

How to upload a document to an e-mail:
1. After typing an optional message in your E-mail (G-mail or Renweb) , click the
paper clip image (= upload attachment)
* If prompted Select "browse files"
2. Search for your file by typing the file name in the top right corner next to the
magnifying glass .
3. When you find the file, select it by double clicking it.
On Renweb - you will need to click close to go back to your original e-mail
Gmail- will automatically take you back to your e-mail
4. Check! - You can confirm that your file has attached by going to the bottom of
your e-mail. You should see your file(s) listed at the bottom. If not repeat steps 1-3
5. Select SEND

How to upload a document to Renweb Lesson plans:
1. On the lesson plan screen you will see a section titled documents.
2. Select "+ADD"
3.Select UPLOAD DOCUMENT
4. Select CHOOSE FILE
5. Search for your file by typing the file name in the top right corner next to the
magnifying glass .
6. When you find the file, select it by double clicking it.
7. Select SAVE
* If done successfully, it will tell you that your file is uploaded, if not repeat
steps 2-7
8. Proceed to the top right corner , select x to close the screen and you will be
taken back to your lesson plan.
9. Under documents select EDIT DOCUMENTS click the square next to the
document you wish to add to your lesson plan and select SAVE.
You will now see your lessonsand uploaded documents on the main lesson plan
screen (with the color coded sections)

The Lesson Plans screen allows you to document each day's class/home work, including information to
be shared with students and parents. Lesson plans in RenWeb allow you to include class work,
homework, standards, documents, notes and information.
Here's how :
1. From RenWeb 1, click the Checker board in the top right corner (Menu).
2. Click Classroom.
The My Classroom screen displays.
3. Select a class.
4. From the Classroom menu, click Lesson Plans.
The Lesson Plans screen displays, defaulting to the current date.
You can select a date from the calendar, or scroll down, to find a different date.
(Only sections which contain information display for parents/students.)
Adding Lesson plan Information:
1. Select a lesson plan section to enter information by clicking the plus sign (+ADD) and type in the
information your students and parents need to know for each assignment.

Viewing Renweb Lesson Plans - for students
The Lesson Plans screen allows you to see each day's class/home work, including information that was shared by the teachers for assignments. This section in RenWeb allows you/students to see class work, homework, uploaded documents, added links, notes and information.
Here's how :
1. Log-in to your Renweb account.
2. Select Students
3. Select Lesson Plans
The Lesson Plans screen displays, with a view of classwork/homework, uploaded documents, due dates, added links, notes and information.
Returning completed assignments:
* Print the documents and have your child(ren) complete the work and then e-mail a picture of the
completed assignment to the teacher.
or
* Have your child(ren) number a blank piece of paper and write down the answers , then e-mail a picture of the completed assignment to the teacher.

Once the test or quiz has been configured, students will log in to Family Portal to complete it.
Visit the Family Portal Overview for Microsoft Word documents you or your school administration can edit and share to help students create their login. Video overviews of Family Portal are also available to share.
Notes:
Parent logins do not have access to Web Tests; it is only available to students.
If your school is new to using Family Portal, your FACTS SIS administrator will need to make sure Class Websites are shown and the correct school year and term are selected in Family Portal Configuration.
Once students are logged in, they will:
Click Classes in the School category of the left navigation menu.
Select your class in the list.
Click the Tests Online tab. Note: This tab displays only if Web Tests have been created for the class.
Select the test or quiz link listed under Tests Online.

Teachers, students can login to their Student RenWeb accounts and take tests you create directly in their accounts.
Once submitted to you, RenWeb can grade them immediately or you can grade them later.

Homework Drop allows students to upload homework assignments that may be downloaded by the teacher.
1. From RenWeb â‘ , click (Menu).
2. Click My Classroom. The Classroom screen displays.
3. Select a class. The Attendance screen displays.
4. From the Classroom menu, click Web Items. The Web Items screen displays.
5. Click Homework Drop. The Homework Drop screen displays.
6. Select an option to view student documents:
7. Click Download for the file you wish to save to your computer.
8. Click Save. The document is saved to your Downloads folder.
Note: The Homework Drop will appear in ParentsWeb if school administration has the Homework Drop area marked to Show in ParentsWeb Configuration.
