CFHS CTE
Frequently Asked Questions
The following is a list of common questions asked by
CTE students and families:
Who should I contact if I have a question?
Simply email Mrs. Smith at cf_smithm@cftigers.org, Mr. Smith at cf_smithja@cftigers.org, Mrs. Davis at cf_davisv@cftigers.org, or the technology instructors of your specific program.
When do the CTE programs start?
All Six District Compact Programs start on August 22nd. Please contact the district specific to your program as schedules will vary by school based on each program’s ability to adhere to current social distancing and safety guidelines.
My student is sick, what do I do?
Make sure to contact both school sites and follow the individual school policy.
I am an out of school student and it’s my first day. What do I do?
Mr. Smith, Associate Principal, will be meeting students upon the transfer bus arriving at CFHS. At that time, we will be reviewing how to sign in for the day and report to the specific program.
How do accessing grades work at the CTE school?
If you are a CFHS student attending a CFHS CTE program, ProgressBook will continue to be used for grades. If you are a CFHS student attending another non-CFHS program, you will be issued another set of credentials at that school. Please contact that school’s lead CTE contact to gain that information. All students attending CFHS programs will sign in with the school-issued username and password under the ProgressBook link.
How do I apply?
The program application period typically starts in January of the next calendar year. The program application will be live at that time at sixdistrict.com. There is also a link from the high school webpage. Information regarding the application process and deadlines will be provided to students in the winter.
I have my own car and a valid driver’s permit. What do I do?
If you are a CFHS student, you will need to complete the Parking Pass application which can be found in the Activities office. If you are attending another Compact school, your parking permit is valid at that other school.
What will transportation look like?
Transportation will be available for CTE programs Monday through Friday (CTE transportation schedule); we do recommend if you have other means of transportation to your CTE program, other than the bus, that you consider using it.
