ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Modern day media is constantly evolving, as the access to a variety of media platforms becomes more and more widespread. With this realization in mind, the Modern Communication through Media Production program will prepare students to effectively publish relevant, timely information. As they explore career-related and postsecondary fields, they will create and produce broadcasts to share with their peers, schools and community on a grand scale. In a journalistic framework while learning technical skills, students examine the foundations of media, film, journalism and broadcasting. Students will utilize the latest in interactive technology, social media and software to gain real-world experience and build a professional portfolio as they do semester rotations at both high schools. This new program at Cuyahoga Falls and Hudson High Schools will offer students unique experiences in creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, problem solving, leadership, initiative and adaptability.
