Parent and official guardians may request to track their student's progress for Course Emporium coursework.
To enable this, please email the instructor assigned to your students course period to request email reports.
In your request, please including the following:
After your email address has been added to your student's profile, you should begin receiving updates on your student's progress. If you are not receiving these updates, please contact the Instructor for your students again.
Below is a explanation on how to read the updates sent to you with an example. The figure shows an example student who is taking two courses. The data that you want to be watching are noted by red circles. For each class two rows are shown with ten boxes each. The boxes are just a progression bar from 0-100%.
Fig 1. Screenshot of Edgenuity email report. (Current report may vary.)
For the first course, it shows that student has completed 15% of the course at this point. The second circle shows the target completed percentage, which is how far the student should be through the course by this point, in this case 8%. This means this student is ahead in their coursework. However, if you look down further at the second course, the student should be 10% through this course, but is currently only 6.7% through the course. The student is behind in their second course and should be working at home in addition to in class to close the gap.
Looking back at the first course, the third red circle is showing the student's current grade, being an average of all graded work the student has completed by this point. This grade must be passing when the student completes the course in order to earn credit.
Please notice, that for the second course, the student has an 91.1%, but remember this student is also behind. The percentages shown on the right side are different types of grade calculations that calculate a grade based on if the student has 0's for some of their future assignments.
We do not recommend paying much attention to these percentages. You and your student's focus should be whether or not the student is on target for completing the course and if they are currently passing.
