Program Overview

Theatre Fundamentals - Full year course - 1.0 credit 

Our first year class for all students interested in theatre! This course includes one semester focused on acting and one semester focused on tech. The class is designed to help students see all the sides of theatre and figure out what area of study they want to learn more about. 

THIS IS A PREREQUISITE FOR EVERY OTHER COURSE

Intermediate Theatre Arts - Full year course - 1.0 credit

Our second year class for students who want to pursue the acting side of our department. This class will include topics like: 

• Stage combat

• Monologue performance

• Writing scripts

• Shakespeare in depth

• Memorization work

• Stage presence 

Intermediate Theatre Production - Full year course - 1.0 credit

Our second year class for students who want to pursue the technical side of our department. This class will include topics like: 

• Lighting

• Sound 

• Scenic work 

• Costumes 

• Hair/makeup 

• Props 

• Stage management

Advanced Theatre Acting - Full year course - 1.0 credit

Our third year class for students who want to pursue the acting side of our department. This class will include the following: 

• Performing in 2-3 shows with our group per year 

• Working in a pre-professional theatre environment 

• Joining a group of people focused on acting

• Opportunities to compete at the state and regional level.

THIS CLASS REQUIRES YOU TO PARTICIPATE AFTER SCHOOL (THERE ARE REHEARSALS HELD OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOURS)

Advanced Theatre Production - Full year course - 1.0 credit

Our third year class for students who want to pursue the technical side of our department. This class will include the following: 

• Working on 2-3 shows in selected technical departments

• Working in a pre-professional theatre environment 

• Joining a group of people focused on technical theatre

• Opportunities to compete at the state and regional level.

THIS CLASS REQUIRES YOU TO PARTICIPATE AFTER SCHOOL (REQUIRED REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES HELD OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOURS)
