The school library media center is a learning community for students and staff ensuring that all are information literate - able to find, use, and evaluate information in print and on the computer. There is a warm, safe, and nurturing environment, which promotes a love of reading for both information and pleasure. The library media center is student centered.
We follow district policy 603.3 for selection of all materials for North Cedar Elementary Library. Formal complaints on materials or books in the library can be filed using the form found at the district policy.
Books are checked out for one four-day cycle. Books may be renewed. If all books are not returned, then no new books may be checked out. When a book is overdue for a few weeks, a letter is sent home. If a book cannot be found, the cost of the book is to be paid to the library.
If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Striegel (darla.striegel@cfschools.org) or call at (319)553-2837. Thanks!
