Core Friends of Rend Lake is an independent nonprofit that exists to support, protect, and celebrate Rend Lake through community driven conservation, education, and local engagement. While we are not part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, we work in partnership with the Corps to help support and advance their mission at Rend Lake.

We collaborate with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to support projects and programs that promote environmental stewardship, public education, and responsible recreation. Our role is to assist, advocate, and engage. We bring community energy and local support to efforts that benefit the lake and the people connected to it.

At our core, we are neighbors, volunteers, and lake lovers who believe stewardship starts at the local level. By connecting people to Rend Lake and to one another, we aim to ensure this shared resource remains accessible and valued for generations to come.
