Writing
The writing workshop begins with a minilesson followed by independent writing time during which students write about self-selected topics. During the workshop, I will confer with students or I may pull together students who need the same kind of writing support. The writing workshop may be interrupted for a mid-workshop teaching point. The workshop ends with a teaching share time.
Students are expected to be writing at a level 3 (developmental) by the end of the year.
