All About Me

Hello! I am looking forward to a fantastic year at Keith and Birkes Elementary! This will be my 13th year with CFISD and 15th in public education. I acquired a degree in Psychology from Iowa State University and my teaching certification from Morningside College in Iowa. After teaching for 13 years in grades PreK-2nd, I acquired my masters in School Counseling from Lamar University. This will be my first year as an elementary counselor in CFISD.

I have lived in Cypress for 15 years, but am originally from Sioux City, Iowa. My husband and I have been married for 25 years and have 3 wonderful children. Our oldest daughter is a senior at University of Houston Downtown studying Humanities and Communications, our son is a junior at A&M studying Geo-Physics and Math, and our youngest daughter is a senior at Cy-Ranch and is a member of the Classics Drill Team. My family and I love traveling and spending time at the beach. We have 5 cats, which were all rescued. Yes, we are the crazy cat family! I am excited about my new position as Counselor this year. I look forward to working with the students, parents and staff at Keith to have a successful and enjoyable year!
