Middle School Try-outs

Try outs for the 2024-2025 season for 8th grade students will begin on Monday March 3rd, 2025 in the performance gym at Cypress Ridge HS.

Mandatory events:

Try-out packets, Rank One, and your physical are due on Feb. 18th, 2025.
Attend the Mandatory parent meeting on February 28th, 2025 at Cypress Ridge High School.
Attend Clinic on March 3rd- 5th at Cypress Ridge High School in the performance gym.

Clinic Day 1: 03/03/2025

Clinic will be held in the performance gym at Cypress Ridge High School starting at 4:15 pm and concluding at 5:15 pm.

Wear athletic clothing (no crop tops or spanks), tennis shoes, remove all jewelry, and pull your hair up and out of your face.

Thursday March 6th, 2025

Tryouts will be held in the performance gym of Cypress Ridge HS starting at 4:15 pm for all 8th grade candidates.

Each candidate will be asked to exit the building upon completion of their physical tryout.

Tryout information

What to wear: Any colored plain shirt, athletic shorts (no spanks) and tennis shoes/cheer shoes. Candidates will need to have their hair must be pulled back and out of the candidate's face, no jewelry- this includes body piercings.

Tryouts are a closed event. That means that no parents, friends, etc. will be allowed in the athletic wing during any part of the clinic process.

Results- Friday March 7th, 2025

Results will be posted Friday 03/07 around 3:30 on the home page of this website along with our Instagram page. Results will be posted using their tryout numbers and schools, not their names. Please communicate with your candidate and make sure to remember their numbers.

If your candidate makes the team, there will be an email sent to all guardians regarding a parent meeting and practice schedule.
