The Cook MS Symphonic Winds is the premiere concert ensemble of the band program. Students in the Symphonic Winds participate in Region Band Auditions and compete at the CFISD Solo and Ensemble Contest. The band also competes at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation and Spring Festivals in the Greater Houston Area. Students take part in a sectional once a week (after school) and may have additional rehearsals in preparation for contests and festival performances.
