Charles Roberman is entering his 9th year of teaching. He spent the first 8 years of his career at Salyards Middle School. This will be his 1st year at Cook Middle School.
To Mr. Roberman the most important thing about band is that the students enjoy their experience and find success in what they do. Under his direction, his bands have been awarded “Sweepstakes” at UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest.
Mr. Roberman graduated from Sam Houston State University in the Spring of 2014. While at Sam Houston State Mr. Roberman was a member of the Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Matthew McInturf along with studying privately with Mr. Randy Adams and Mr. Steve Warkentin.
Mr. Roberman's professional affiliations include Texas Bandmaster's Association and Texas Music Educators Association.
Symphonic Band, Beg. Clarinet, & Beg. Saxophone
Hayden Anderson is entering his fifth year of teaching, and is very excited to be returning to Cook Middle School team as Assistant Director of Bands! His responsibilities include teaching the Symphonic Band, Beginning Clarinet, and Beginning Saxophone classes, and he assists with the Symphonic Winds and Concert Winds.
Originally from Tulsa, OK, Mr. Anderson graduated in the spring of 2017 from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Music Education, magna cum laude. While at OSU Mr. Anderson was an active performer, and was a member of the OSU Cowboy Marching Band, the OSU Symphonic Band, the OSU Wind Ensemble, the OSU Jazz Orchestra, the Frontiers New Music Ensemble, the OSU Saxophone Octet (which performed at the 2016 Midwest Clinic), and a number of other various chamber ensembles over the years. He studied saxophone under Jeffrey Loeffert, Kimberly Goddard Loeffert, and Tommy Poole. His music education teachers include Douglas Henderson, Marc Sosnowchik, and Benjamin Lorenzo. Mr. Anderson’s professional affiliations includes Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Band Masters Association and North American Saxophone Alliance.

Alex Hedden Alex Hedden is excited to begin his third year at Jersey Village High School! His responsibilities at Jersey Village include directing the Symphonic Winds and assisting with the marching band.
Originally from Georgia, Mr. Hedden grew up in Augusta and attended the University of Georgia, where he graduated summa cum laude and received a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. Mr. Hedden performed on saxophone and euphonium in numerous concert, marching, chamber, and jazz ensembles at UGA. After graduation, Mr. Hedden moved to Katy, TX where he began his teaching career at Morton Ranch High School.
Outside of Jersey Village, Mr. Hedden enjoys being involved with Drum Corps International. He was a member of the Carolina Crown Hornline for 3 years on Euphonium (2014-2016), and has taught on the staff at Genesis and Spirit of Atlanta.

Scott Aldridge comes to Jersey Village from Houston, TX. Mr. Aldridge grew up in Missouri City and attended Elkins High School and the University of Houston. He performed with many groups while at UH including the Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, and Jazz Orchestra. He was also a teaching assistant for the Spirit of Houston Marching Band. Mr. Aldridge performed for two summers with Drum Corps International as a member of the Seattle Cascades front ensemble and the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps drumline.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Aldridge then furthered his studies obtaining his Masters Degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying with San Francisco Symphony section percussionist, Trey Wyatt and retired principal percussionist Jack van Geem. Once he graduated, Scott began to play with premiere groups such as the San Francisco Symphony, under the baton of Michael Tilson Thomas, and the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players. Mr. Aldridge is very excited to be back home and honored to continue the legacy set before him at Jersey Village!
