CFB Connect (ClassLink) for Teachers
Grades PK-1 (iPads):
CFB Connect/ClassLink has QR codes called Quick Cards, just like Clever Badges. Follow these directions to download them.
*Students might have to sign in once with their username and password before using Quick Cards*
Students will click on the ClassLink app. From there they can type in their CFB Credentials or click the QR code button to scan their Quick Cards. Once in they can select the app to use, such as Progress Learning.
Keep in mind that students may have 2 QR codes, one for CFB Connect/ClassLink and one for Clever if they are in a special program, so you might need a way to differentiate the two. Printing them on color paper might be an easy distinction
Securly Locker
iPads in our school district should be managed by Securly. All iPads will have some preinstalled apps and a Securly Locker where you can find available apps for download, depending on your campus.
Clicking on the Securly locker app will allow you to see more information regarding the iPad. The Info tab in the Securly locker app will show you the serial number, barcode, and the group that the iPad is in.
iPads for students will likely be in a group named after their campus. iPads checked out to teachers, should be in a group called Admin-Teacher. This installs different apps for the teacher and allows them to have access to the app store. If an iPad needs to be moved to a different group, the campus DLS can do so with the barcode/serial number.
Apps
Student iPads should have the essential apps pre-installed and additional apps purchased by the campus should be available in the locker if not force installed. If an app is missing from your iPad, contact your DLS.

Content Area Directors and Technology Admin ultimately decide if an app is approved to be purchased and added to the Securly Locker. If you wish to submit an app for purchase/approval, you'll need to submit a ticket in IIQ. If the app costs money, you will need to provide a purchase order.
iPad Maintenance
Updates
Always keep iPads up to date. When available, Download and Install the latest iOS update. The iPad needs to be charged at least 50% and be connected to a network.
Resetting an iPad
iPads must be erased and reset before being checked out to another student.

Saving Student emails on iPads with Text Replacement
Using Text Replacement allows teachers to designate a sequence of letters to instead produce other text.
In this example, a teacher can set the letters qqq to populate a students email.
Step 1: Open / Print Student Emails
Open TEAMS
Click “Enter Classroom Grading”
Select the class, then at the bottom click “Email Students”
In the window that pops up, right click and click “Print” (or press ctrl + P)
Change the layout from Portrait to Landscape and print the document
Step 2: Gather all student iPads and follow the directions in the graphic.
Logging in Students into Google Drive
Teachers can access a list of student emails from TEAMS.
Print a class roster from TEAMS that includes: name, ID, birthdate, & email.
To find your students emails:
Log into Teams from the Staff Portal.
Reports > Report Profiles > Student Options > Scheduling > Print Roster with Student Email
*Students will need to be signed into Google Drive to access STEMscopes & other digital tools such as Pear Deck.
*Text replacement might be a good option to save the email address on their iPad for quick access:
On the iPad, go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement. Click + to add a new one. Enter email for the phrase and a short series of letters (ex. qqq) for the shortcut.
