Start pushing by standing up. Push with shoulders if you can. Block elbows to help develop strength in the shoulders.
Now try pusing a pancake with one hand and then the other.
Demonstrate fist, have your child imitate a fist and pound with movement coming from the elbow.
Use 2 hands to pinch and pull off small pieces. Teach the child to put the pieces down instead of throwing by guiding their hands. It is eaiser to guide when you sit behind your child and can guide both hands.
