The Apple Education Store will give you a discount on the purchase price of your iPad.
It is important that as a parent, you feel you understand how and when the device should be used. Correct setup and management of the MacBook or iPad will support you at home, and our teachers at school.
Please use the information on this site to help in your choice of iPad or MacBook, so your son or daughter can get the most from the device and use it as a tool that is focused squarely for learning.
We encourage all students to update their device every 3 years. Therefore, when students reach the Senior School it is appropriate to do it then. This ensures that the latest operating system and apps are being used and the learning tools are all up to date.
Senior School students can use either:
An iPad or iPad Air (optionally with keyboard/Apple Pencil) or a
MacBook
iPad Specifications
Please be sure that your iPad meets these minimum requirements:
An iPad, or iPad Pro 9th or 10th generation minimum.
Apple Pencil or stylus.
Keyboard is optional depending on student preference.
Minimum 32GB capacity.
Updated to the latest operating system.
WI-FI capabilities only (a 4G/5G model is not recommended).
A sturdy cover or case that provides excellent protection.
Please make sure that your MacBook supports the latest version of MacOS. Any of these is acceptable:

MacBook Air
Protects you for two incidents of accidental damage.
AppleCare+ for iPad provides up to two years of expert telephone technical support and additional hardware coverage from Apple, including up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a A$65 service fee. This is a viable alternative to including the iPad under an existing insurance policy.
