On Tuesday we participated in our host students' lessons from 8-9am. The lessons were very different compared to our usual lessons. From 9am-2pm we were in different workshops. We were divided into smaller groups and we did the workshops in them.
One of the workshops was called "What is there in common among our towns and their names". In that workshop we wrote some similarities and differences of our towns to a computer. Another workshop was a Crossfit class in the gym, where we did some exercises including running, crawling, and going up and down the stairs. Some students also had a radio interview workshop. There they answered questions about Tenerife and the trip in the radio room. The last activity was a role-play about some of the streets in La Orotava. It was made with Chroma on an Ipad. We gathered some information about the streets we learned on Monday's rare and historical manuscripts workshop and then acted it out to the camera. Then with Chroma, the background of the video was changed into a picture of the street we were talking about.
The activities ended at 2pm and after that the rest of the day was freetime with our host families.
Taking part in the Physical Education class and after doing an orientation run around the historical center of La Orotava to discover some interesting monuments, scuptures, gardens, squares or churches...
On Monday they went to the local file in La Orotava, there they did some activities to learn about the street of the town.
While some of them were there, the rest of the student were in the school, where the spanish students gave them a tour around the school.
After that, they had a snack in La Constitucion square.
At last, they did and activity where the student had to find clues around la Orotava and answer the questions about La Orotava history, to see what group did better. Each member of the best group won a lollipop.
