Why should I apply to the school?
This Summer School is organized by the Journal of International Economics, the flagship journal in the area of International Economics. Furthermore, the Summer School will feature a series of lectures by leading faculty members in this area.
How should I apply?
Simply click on the 'Applications' tab and fill in the form provided. Applications should include a CV, cover letter, and provide the contact information from a Professor at your institution who can provide a reference letter.
What does the participation fee of $150 cover?
The fee of $150 covers the following: (i) coffee breaks, (ii) lunches, and (iii) the cost of lecture notes or other any material distributed to the participants. It does not cover any lodging or travel expenses. The fee will be charged in Euro through the local organizer, CESifo.
How do I apply for financial aid or a bursary?
A small number of places have been reserved for students with bursaries or financial aid. These places are only for students who otherwise would not afford to attend the course (this includes the participation fee of $150). If you would like to attend the Summer School but believe you may not be able to due to financial reasons, please explain as such in your application cover letter, or email: jiesummerschool@cesifo.org.
