How do Assignments’ Point Values affect the overall score?
🕵️What to look for: Settings ⇒ Assignment List
❑ There is a balance of summative and formative assessments.
❑ There is a reasonable number of assessments, based on the time of year.

❑ Name of the assignment reflects the learning outcome, rather than generic statements. (See standards tab)
❑ The “Count in Traditional Final Grade” is unchecked.
❑ “Extra Points” should not be used. These are “bonus points” that do not follow best assessment practices.
❑ Learning Outcomes (Standards) are attached.
❑ 1-3 Learning Outcomes is a reasonable expectation
❑ KUSPs may or may not be attached.
❑ If the category is “Summative 5-8”, the “Count in Grade” is checked.
❑ If the category is “Formative 5-8”, the “Count in Grade” is unchecked.
