Add to WIAD Financially

All donations to WIAD are collected through CESA 7's  501(c)(3) organization, Associates for Collaborative Education (ACE).

Where the Money Goes

Monetary donations provided to the WIAD program can have a variety of benefits for students participating in the program. Here are some potential benefits that students can derive from monetary donations to the Wisconsin Academic Decathlon program:

1. Regional Level Events:  Donations can be used to provide venues across the state where these events can be held; provide catering services for decathletes, coaches, and volunteers; and/or secure Regional Coordinators to take charge of these events for students.  Regional events would not be possible without the help of volunteers and Regional Coordinators.

2. State Level Event:  Donations can be used to provide an adequate venue for students to compete; provide catering services for decathletes, coaches, and volunteers (including an awards banquet);  and/or eliminate parking costs for volunteers.  The State level competition would be impossible to hold without our amazing volunteers.

3. Scholarships and Awards: Donations can be used to fund scholarships, awards, and prizes for outstanding students at each level. Recognizing and rewarding exceptional performance can motivate students to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits.

4. Volunteer Appreciation: Funds can be used to show appreciation to our volunteers for their generous offering of their time.

5. Administrative Costs: Any well run program has costs to keep it going.  This includes things like program materials, copies, postage, storage, etc.

These benefits can ultimately contribute to the students' academic growth, personal development, and future success as well as the sustainability of a quality program for students.

"How hasn’t it impacted me? I attribute my interviewing skills to decathlon. I know my test taking ability throughout my college career was better because of decathlon. The decathlon tests have also benefited me in my professional career, as they helped create my ability to determine what information is significant and which information is less so, which is a significant skill to have in the world of pharmacy.
