Playful Pedagogy: Harmonizing DAP with Educational Excellence
At PEC 2027, we are exploring how play and rigor work hand-in-hand. Playful pedagogy isn't a break from learning—it is how young children learn best. We want to highlight practical, research-backed approaches that seamlessly integrate Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) into high-quality educational experiences.
We are seeking proposals that showcase:
Intentional Play: How play-based learning directly drives academic growth in literacy, math, science, and social-emotional skills.
Harmonizing Standards & DAP: Strategies for meeting state standards and rigor while staying true to how 3-year-olds through 3rd graders naturally develop.
Inclusive & Joyful Classrooms: Creating environments where every child's curiosity, culture, and unique learning needs are honored through active, playful experiences.
Continuum Connection: Strengthening smooth transitions and aligned practices across the age 3–3rd grade spectrum.
🌟 Share Your Expertise: Help build upon the foundation of Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) across the age 3 through 3rd-grade learning continuum.
🎟️ Discounted Conference Registration: Receive ONE discounted conference registration ($100 for all 3 days) for each accepted proposal!
🤝 Connect & Network: Engage with early childhood professionals throughout Wisconsin.
