I am Kim Souder, a Community Arts Coordinator at Yosemite Valley Charter. I am also a homeschool parent, and I formerly taught 2nd grade and 6th grade for 20 years in a traditional public school. As I taught PE and watched students play intramural sports in my former school, I realized that the physical fitness they gained was secondary to the friendships students formed, the opportunities to work as a team, to build confidence, and to have fun! As a homeschool parent, I searched for a PE program or an Intramural sports program, but I never could find one in my area. I am so excited to bring this opportunity to our elementary-aged students in Madera!

What do I bring or wear?
What do I bring or wear?
Please bring water and make sure you are properly fueled for practice and games. We do not have water and snacks on site for students and families. Students should wear clothing and shoes that they can do physical activity in. Families may bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit and watch.
