Teaching

I have been teaching for 25 years.

• I have an Early Childhood/Special Education Degree from Clarion University

• I taught Early Intervention for 5 years in the Farrell School District

• I taught Kindergarten for 2 years in the Monaca School District.

• I taught Kindergarten at Central Valley from 2009-2014.

• I switched to developmental kindergarten for 8 years from  2014-2022.

• When we went to full-day kindergarten, I went back to teaching regular kindergarten and I couldn't be happier!

Family

I have been married for 25 years.

• We are a teaching family!  

  • • My husband is also in education.

    • He the Director of Technology for the Beaver Area School District.

I am a mother of a child with a disability.

• • • My youngest son, Micah, has Cerebral Palsy.  

      • He has to use a wheelchair to get around.

      • He is fully included in 11th grade at Beaver.

      • I love talking about Micah and our experiences raising a child with a disability.  Please ask me about him!!
