All failing percentages on report cards will default to 50% with the exception of finals/midterms. However, the grade default in the 2nd nine weeks of a semester course and in the 4th nine weeks of a year-long course will be lowered from 50% to 25%.
Class rank will be based on the percentage of the final grade for each course. Class rank will be determined by percentages. Valedictorian and Salutatorian will be based on this system. In order to be eligible for Valedictorian and Salutatorian, students must have earned at least 50% of their credits at Central Valley High School.
A percentage of 69% or below would eliminate students from consideration for the honor roll.
Students receiving an incomplete will not be eligible for honor roll until a class is completed.
Highest Honor graduates will be recognized at commencement with the Highest Honor Sash.
High Honor and Honor Students will be recognized at commencement.
All Advanced Placement (AP) offerings will have a weighted value.
