2023  begins my 29th year as a teacher and my 19th for this district.  A Blackhawk High School graduate,  I continued my education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and finally received my master's degree from Gannon University.  Before teaching ELA and Social Studies at Todd Lane Elementary, I taught English and Ancient History at Central Valley Middle School and English/Math at Center Middle School.  I love to write and will try to pass that on to your child.  My first book "Miller Time" was published in 2017.  

I am committed to doing my part to give your child the best 5th-grade education possible.  Students are responsible for checking the Google calendar below for daily homework and test dates. Please realize that part of your child's education (maybe the most important part) is learning personal responsibility.  In addition to my subjects, check Mr. McLean's website for information regarding math and science. 

I want to instill a confidence in your child when it comes to writing.  Everyone can write!  You just have to believe that you can.  As Henry Ford said, "Whether you think you can or cannot....you're right".
