High school students might assume that they can only start applying for scholarships during their senior year. However, many scholarship providers accept high school juniors as applicants. Students who start the scholarship application process in their junior year will be more likely to receive enough aid to cover their expenses without taking out student loans.
This CAREER FAIR is a great way to see the job opportunities around us. A bus will transport Seniors and Juniors to Bond Wilson at 7:55am tomorrow Friday May 10, 2024. We will meet in the commons and then board the buses. We will return at approximately 9:30am.
Please note that you will need your teacher's permission to attend.

Other Scholarship Opportunities:
Each college and/or academic department at NMSU offers internal funding through our scholarship application ScholarDollar$. When applying for scholarships, Scholar Dollar$ will automatically render questions based on a student’s academic profile (campus, college, major, GPA, etc). This single application allows the student to be considered for all NMSU scholarships, so the more questions answered the better the odds are for scholarship eligibility. This application is available to all potential and current students regardless of campus. ScholarDollar$ opens every year on October 1st and has a priority deadline of March 1st.
You can access this application at: scholarships.nmsu.edu
NMSU students often qualify for private or external scholarships based on various criteria, including need, academic performance, interests, and background. NMSU provides a website that lists some private scholarships by their deadline that we believe students would be interested in. Please keep in mind, these awards are funded by public and private organizations and not NMSU. Financial Aid does review all scholarships before posting, but still encourages students to always be cautious with online scholarship applications.
You can find these scholarships at: fa.nmsu.edu/scholarships/private.html

Maryam, the 2020 winner, has advice for you:
“I just want to let you know it doesn't take a lot. I was working on a half-broken computer. I don't have any professional video-making abilities or software. The focus is on communication. And if you love science and want to share science, then nothing can stop you.”
Ready to show off your skills? The deadline to enter is June 25, 2024.
Good luck!

Innovative dual credit offerings combined with industry experiences will result in our students being ready to enter the workforce and the post-secondary setting. The objective of the center is to develop a new generation of globally competitive, skilled students that will support the evolving economic needs of the Navajo Nation and our surrounding communities.
Greetings from Williamstown! I'm writing to share that our 2024 Windows on Williams (WOW) application is now available for your rising seniors. The WOW fly-in program provides about 150 high-achieving seniors a fully funded opportunity to visit campus and experience the Williams community. WOW is a selective program open to rising seniors in the U.S. and Puerto Rico; preference is given to high-achieving students who couldn't otherwise afford to visit Williams.
WOW participants stay in dorms with current students, attend classes, meet with professors, and learn about our admission process and our extraordinary financial aid program. There are two ways to apply:
Students may complete the full WOW application form, including a high school transcript (screenshots or pictures of the transcript are accepted) and an essay submitted for an English or social science class during the 2023-2024 academic school year
Students who applied to the QuestBridge College Prep Scholars (CPS) program can re-use that application for WOW
Please encourage your students to apply using this link by August 1, and feel free to contact us with any questions.
Thank you, as always, for all your help and partnership. I hope the rest of your semester goes smoothly
Best wishes,
Carolina Echenique
