Student Council is a club that includes students from each grade level who are elected to represent their specific class.
Responsibilities of a CHS Student Council member include: conducting themselves in a responsible manner to best represent their classmates, make decisions about both school wide and class wide activities, and participate in numerous public service activities.
How to Join
Students from each grade level will fill out an application to be on the ballot, and their peers will vote for students they feel will best represent their class. All students are welcomed and encouraged to complete a "New Member Application Form" to explain why they would be a productive member.
We ask that students are willing to communicate amongst their grade level, generate new ideas that will improve our school environment, and ensure they can attend monthly meetings/activities to work with their fellow StuCo members.
What We Do
Some of our major activities include: managing the annual "FISH" Camp for incoming freshmen, creating and implementing all homecoming activities, conducting RedCross blood drives, collecting canned food items, promoting school culture and climate, and much more. We are considered to be the most active club at the high school, so we ask that each member understands the commitment needed to be a successful member.
