SOS INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES

One of the lesser known spaces in Discovery Ed is the Professional Development section. This entire resource could be dedicated to just this topic, but our focus will be on the Discovery Education Network and the Spotlight on Strategies.

An invaluable resource, whether you teach kindergarten or seniors, math to music, is the section named Spotlight on Strategies. They are: "Creative, research-based instructional strategies, presented by teachers for teachers. These simple instructional strategies incorporate digital media in meaningful, effective, and practical ways

Points to Remember:

• Each SOS has a video and PDF instructions

• Save the SOS to Quick List or My Content

• Subscribe to specific ones (see Summarizing in the picture) and they will be on your home page.

• You don't have to use DE content to use an SOS. Use them with EVERYTHING.
