Instructional Learning Models

Central Union has offered in person learning beginning on Monday, November 2, 2020, for each of our school sites for our students for those families who have indicated the desire for in-person instruction.

Besides the in-person instruction, we will continue with the distance/virtual learning option for families who do not yet feel comfortable having their students return to school.

* This instructional learning model will continue through the end of the present school year *

Central Union School District seeks to provide a balanced learning program that:

  • Promotes students' best experience in the safest environment

  • Support all students to reach their fullest potential academically, behaviorally, and social-emotionally

  • Incorporates academic content standards, identified essential standards, critical learning targets, common assessments, textbooks, and materials to guide and monitor learning

  • Daily Instruction is a combination of teacher instruction and "time value" of work assignments.

* Kindergarten – 180 instructional minutes (3 hours Daily)

* Grade 1-3 – 230 instructional minutes (3 hours/50 minutes Daily)

* Grade 4-8 – 240 instructional minutes (4 hours Daily)
