Molded
This is first ceramic piece I finished this year. This is a small dish that also has a utilitarian use. This is a little bowl for hold things like jewelry or hair ties or anything else I want . It is inspired by this deer jewelry dish I saw online. I turned it into my own with a creepy hand and a moldy looking glaze.
A mug that smiles back
My teeth teacup mug was inspired by the gruesome and weird art by jhonen vasquez. I first started on the cup and drew out the layout and let it get leather hard. After that I got a piece of clay that I laid on the front where I drew my layout. I then started getting the basic shape for my teeth. I let that get leather hard and started doing more detail in my mouth. Then I made a handle, If I could change anything it would be the handle. I got really bored of making my mug so I just slapped it on there. I ended up doing a under glaze and then a clear glaze for more freedom with colors.
Wax and skull fragments
My skull was inspired From the A7X music video "A little piece of heaven." First I constructed a skull base shape and a Dug a small hole for the eyes. I let that get leather hard and craved out the eyes, teeth and nose more. I let that dry and made my base and the candles. I glazed it then painted over the top for more definition.
