"I am my only healer"

16x20," Acrylic, 2020 This painting is the “Life Lesson” one. The painting is a representation of the mending of my own heart and learning how to overcome difficult or hurtful challenges in my life. I symbolized my own heart since we use our “heart” as a way to express our love, and it’s also where we identify our hurt. If I could change anything I would change the background colors and design since I wish I didn’t place the paint randomly around. I love how even though it was difficult, I could learn how to try and accurately paint the hands and mix colors.

"The essence of mind"

11x14," Acrylic, 2020This painting represents the "Identity." It is supposed to show a painting of my brain which is depicted as my own, surrounded by four eyes. Since our brain is what makes ourselves function, I thought it was perfect for my "identity." If I could change something I would probably change the glitter in the eyes because I think it doesn't fit well with the piece. I do love the tie-dye pattern in the back because I worked the hardest on that and I think it turned out good.
