“Jimmy NutNut”
12” x 18”
Metal, Black watercolor paint, metal working tools
Last year I made an original character based off of Jimmy Neutron and the peanut butter guy. First I had to outline my drawing of Jimmy NutNut, then I did the peanut texturing on him. After that, I did some rising and shrinking etc., etc..
A few times while I was making Jimmy NutNut he had a bit of a leveling problem, meaning he was uneven a few times. To fix this I put him on a table and made him more even but pushing him down till it was flat on the bottom. I never really worked with metal before and it was fun to learn how to work with it, I thought it would be a bit risky to use metal but in the end, it turned out ok. My favorite thing about Jimmy NutNut is is that he looks like something out of a nightmare, I like that seeing is that it is now close to Halloween. Something that I would change if I started over would be the smile, the smile really doesn’t scream “Hey I’m a spooky cartoon character!” which is what I went for with Jimmy NutNut.
