Things to Know
CANVAS
We will be using the CANVAS learning management system to share important announcements, assignments, tutorial videos, teaching materials, and discussions. Please check it on a regular basis.
NATIONAL ART STANDARDS & ASSESSMENT
Students will be assessed based on their proficiency of the Essential National Visual Art Standards. The Essential Standards, Bodies of Evidence, and student scores will be recorded in Infinite Campus. Please note student grade indicators will be recorded as characters instead of numbers. (Please see bottom of page)
MISSING CLASS/ MISSING WORK
Missing assignments will be entered as missing after the due date has passed, but will be accepted for credit upon completion.
If you miss class please contact me about your missed work either in person before or after school, or by email caralyn.butler@cd-csd.org.
Excessive absences or missing work will result in time spent working on the project before or after school, and/or during QUEST time to make up for lost studio time so you don't fall behind.
ARTISTIC & ACADEMIC HONESTY
All artistic work completed in class must represent your own ideas. There are wonderful resources and amazing works of art available for inspiration, but you are expected to create your own unique work which may be inspired by those images.
