"Mrs. Monaghan had a positive impact on Alex's career path and personal development. Alex talks about Mrs. Monaghan in conversations and respects the interest that she takes in her students. Alex graduated in the spring of 2018 from OU and had agreed to work for LinkedIn in Chicago. He had several fantastic offers and accepted the offer from LinkedIn. Alex traveled on behalf of the College of Business at OU to speak at the DECA Conference in Philadelphia. He was the President of Select Leaders at OU and was in charge of the Student Ambassador Program for the College of Business. He was involved in the Scheys Sales Center as well. I truly believe that Mrs. Monaghan had some involvement in his success. I think as parents we give our children guidance and direction. But it's what they do with it that creates the success they achieve. As a teacher, Mrs. Monaghan does the same. Alex takes advantage of the opportunities that are presented and makes the most of them.

During Ami’s internship she worked with Fortune 500 companies, held marketing campaigns based on market forcasts and gained new customers. Ami fell in love with marketing at Centerville High School and has done amazing work at UMass and during her international internship. By participating in CHS Marketing and DECA, Ami gained the confidence to manage projects and effectively communicate her ideas in presentations.
