Contributions to Center for Progress, Inc  (Tax ID #46-4059660), an exempt organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible as charitable contributions to the extent permitted by law. 

Our current Fundraising Campaign is to support the youth in my hometown in Assumption Parish, Louisiana. Elroy Cooks Summer Basketball/Literacy Camp will be held in July 2023. The camp will be an Annual event coupled with an Alumni Celebration recognizing exemplary students, educators, businesses, and citizens in Louisiana. I plan to use to funds to purchase camp equipment, books, stipends, and recognition awards.

During year three, the participants of the Elroy Cooks/Literacy Camp will experience a week-long Basketball/Leadership Camp on a College Campus in the state of Louisiana and my Alma Mater, Greensboro College in Greensboro, NC.

The funds will be used to support financing sponsorship for 50 students from Louisiana. Our goal is to have a major impact on high school graduation rate, college readiness, and literacy rate among the students in Assumption and Ascension parish.
