Vaccinations are recommended but not mandated for any teacher or student. For teachers, we ask to be informed about their vaccine status for safety measures and in case of an emergency.
LACPC CE Covid-19 Health and Safety Protocol will be strictly enforced. The FAQ below covers the protocol in detail so please read it carefully.
To ensure all necessary procedures are implemented in a timely manner, all students in Preschool (Nursery), Kindergarten, and Elementary must be dropped off and picked up by a parent or guardian.

Notice: We strongly recommend that all tests be conducted by a healthcare provider (i.e. doctor’s office, hospital, or government agency). Test results from take-home or self test kits are considered unofficial unless the kits are approved by the FDA.
1. What do I do if I test positive for Covid-19?
Isolate yourself immediately.
Contact your healthcare provider.
Contact your close contacts as soon as possible (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more for a period of 24 hours)
Contact your department pastor. The church can assist you in notifying close contacts you had within the church.
You are considered to be infectious from 2 days before your symptoms first appeared, until 10 days after the test was taken.
Please allow 14 days and/or when you are free from symptoms (whichever is longer) before returning to church.
2. Can I purchase and use a self test kit to test for Covid-19?
We recommend local official testing sites for the most accurate results. However, OTC test kits are acceptable form of Covid-19 testing.
3. What do I do if I show cold or flu-like symptoms?
Get tested for Covid-19 right away.
Stay home and monitor yourself until the test results come out.
Separate yourself from others in the family.
Notify department pastor of your absence.
4. What do I do if I test negative but still have symptoms?
Contact healthcare provider right away because negative results do not preclude an individual from other variants of SARS or Covid infections.
Continue to stay home and monitor your symptoms.
Separate yourself from others in the family.
Notify department pastor of your absence.
Once all symptoms have subsided, get tested for Covid before returning to church.
5. What do I do if I have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more for a period of 24 hours) with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19?

Stay home for 14 days.
Separate yourself from others in the family.
Get tested for Covid-19 after 3-5 days after the exposure.
Notify department pastor of your absence.
After the 14 days, get tested for Covid before returning to church.
If FULLY vaccinated:
Get tested 3-5 days after the exposure, even if there are no symptoms.
Isolation is not required for fully vaccinated individuals without symptoms, but careful monitoring is recommended until test results come out.
Monitor yourself carefully for 14 days.
If symptoms appear, follow protocol #2 – “What do I do if I show cold or flu-like symptoms?” and #3 – “What do I do if I test negative but still have symptoms?”
