Jazz Band

For jazz band auditions, please prepare any 3 of the 4 audition excerpts below. Links to audio examples are included, cued up to the beginning of the excerpt.  Saxophones - the excerpts are from the Alto 1 book, but you can perform them on any saxophone voice you choose.

Improvisation is not required for acceptance into jazz band, but is helpful. If you want to demonstrate your improv skills, I have included a link to a Blue Bossa play-a-long. If needed, you can find a link to a chord chart for your instrument in the comments on the video.
