Student Walk-Throughs

FOR: ALL Students and Parents

WHEN:

New to Webster 7th & 8th Grade Students Only - Wednesday, Aug. 21 ** 5:00PM-6:00 PM
6th Grade Only - Thursday, Aug. 22 **4:00-5:00 PM
All Grades - Friday, Aug. 23 ** 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
All Grades - Monday, Aug. 26 ** 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
7th & 8th Grade Only - Tuesday, Aug. 27 **4:00-5:00 PM
All Grades - Friday, Aug. 30 ** 8:00 PM-3:00 PM

The "Student Walk-Through" events are optional but we encourage all of our INCOMING 6th graders/guardians and NEW 7th-8th graders/guardians to swing through the building during one of the above dates/times to:

walk schedules (bring your own copy or view it on the Skyward app)
take optional tours with WMS student ambassadors
test out lockers and drop off supplies in lockers (Kleenex boxes and Clorox wipes can go to each grade level break out areas on designated tables)
stop by the office with questions
drop off medications and related medication forms with our healthroom

SCHEDULES WILL BE AVAILABLE IN SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS ON WEDNESDAY, AUG 21 @ NOON. BRING A PRINTED COPY OF YOUR SCHEDULE OR VIEW IT ON YOUR PHONE.

Webster is offering these Student Walk-Through dates as we realize that a chance to get in the building before school starts can help relieve any back-to-school nerves. If your child is unable to make it these days, have no fear! On the first day of school (Sept. 3), students will start their day in Homeroom/PAW class (class starts at 7:30 AM). They will spend the morning with their Homeroom/PAW class and teacher thoroughly reviewing schedules, walking the hallways to better navigate their Webster home, and covering topics related to the new school year.

Back-to-School Family Nights

Webster teachers look forward to welcoming all parents and students to WMS Back-to-School Nights where you'll visit the classrooms, meet the teachers, learn about curricula and Canvas. (The 8th grade version of this event will also cover the upcoming Minikani trip.) Parents and students welcome.

At the Back-to-School Night, parents/guardians will need to have a printed copy of their child's schedule from Skyward, an electronic version on their phone (tip: download Skyward Family Access mobile app) OR a filled-in rotation schedule (link directly below). Parents will follow the child's grade level schedule rotation found in Skyward. Schedules will be posted in Skyward on Wednesday, Aug. 21 @ noon.

WMS 6th Grade Social

We're excited to bring back the 6th grade social at Skateland! Plan on seeing old friends, meeting new classmates and socializing with friends as well as 6th grade teachers at this event. The skating event is from 7:00-8:30 PM. It’s $8 at the door, which includes skate or rollerblade rental.

Student ID and School Pictures

ALL students will take their school picture on the first day of school, Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Their photo is used for the Yearbook and their Webster ID/badge. They will receive the ID on the first day of school.

There will be a photo retake day (October 11th).

Order and pre-pay for your picture package now. When opening the link click on Webster Middle School. Everyone must pre-pay online by Tuesday, Sept. 3 and either show - or bring a print-out of - the “Pre-Pay Pass” (barcoded e-receipt) sent by Network Photography.

Hard copies of the order form are available in the office too. Payment would need to be made when their child has their picture taken.
